At Your First Cosmetic Dental Appointment
Your first visit here at the office of Robert J. Martino, DDS and Allison Sceppaguercio, DMD will typically consist of a thorough review of your medical and dental history, a comprehensive oral examination including an oral cancer screening, taking of necessary radiographs (x-rays), and a discussion of any findings and treatment options. We will answer any questions that you may have about our findings, the treatments suggested as well any questions regarding payment, scheduling and office policies. Due to our commitment to the comprehensive treatment of all of your oral health needs, it is not our policy to perform dental cleanings at your first visit. It is important that we diagnose your specific gum health so that the appropriate type of cleaning is performed that meets your specific needs. Treatment can often begin immediately but a complex medical history or treatment plan may require a further evaluation and a second appointment. We’ll make sure to accommodate your schedule.
In order to make your first dental visit the most enjoyable experience possible please come prepared with the following information:
- X-rays from previous dental practices
- A list of any or all medication that you are presently prescribed and taking
- Your dental insurance information
- Patient Forms filled out
Having this prepared and ready for your appointment will save you time and allow us to make your first visit the very best experience.
